Some rapid-fire precision face obscuration going on in this new ad for Eircom MusicHub streaming service in Ireland. Funny how people want to reference the vinyl even when the music is digitally delivered. Most Sleeveface enthusiasts I know are pretty format-agnostic: vinyl, CD, downloads, streams, just give us MUSIC. I myself don’t mind a bit of digital music but you can’t put it in front of your face very easily. Nor does it have a smell.
(Hey, is Streisand on drums a shout-out to the How To Sleeveface video?)
These guys earn points for the flawless execution. Great concept!

This unusual Sleeveface pic really makes you think doesn’t it? It’s on some kind of Jake and Dinos Chapman tip.
I can assure you no baby toys were harmed in the making of this. OK maybe one toy.

Dick says:
I let my beard grow a bit specially for this one.
I’ve always been a bit of a long hair. However this Trojan Records classic sampler was every skinhead‘s must have record at the end of the 60s. Only ever got to tape it at the time, but I’ve gone out and bought it since.
When I saw the LP Portrait group I knew I had to do something but I couldn’t think what. Then I saw the album in the front of a box of records in the mess that is my bedroom.
Favourite tracks are “Reggae in your Jeggae” and “Long Shot Kick the Bucket”
I took a lot of shots using a 10 second delay to get in position. This shot is arguably the best one.
